Pune: FIR Filed Against AU Small Finance Bank Official and Six Others for Alleged Molestation

Pune, 27th August 2023: An FIR has been lodged against an official from AU Small Finance Bank and six others for allegedly entering a borrower’s house, under the influence of alcohol, and molesting a woman. The incident occurred because she had missed a loan installment.

 

The complaint was filed by a 48-year-old resident of Bhekrai Nagar, leading to the registration of the FIR at Hadapsar police station. The individuals named in the FIR include AU Small Finance Bank’s Camp branch official, Sushil, along with Wahid Pate, Mohammad Kashid Raja, Saral Sharma, Mangesh Arvind Dhamne, Tanmay Jain, and Sanji Sarhani.

 

 

The woman had borrowed from AU Small Finance Bank and had not made the installment payment, prompting Sushil to send other bank officials to her residence. These officials allegedly entered her home after consuming alcohol and confronted her husband. In the process, the woman tried to intervene, but Wahid Pate reportedly molested her. During the incident, the complainant’s daughter-in-law was feeding her child. Saral Sharma questioned her about her marriage to the complainant’s son and urged her to contact her father. He also instructed the complainant’s husband and son to leave the premises. The case is currently under investigation by PSI Khalde.
