Pune: FIR Against 28 Persons For Kidnapping Director of Jalgaon District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Sahakari Samaj Limited

Pune, January 5, 2021: A shocking case has come to light in which a director of Jalgaon District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Sahakari Samaj Limited was abducted and taken to a flat in Sadashiv Peth and pressured to resign. The organization’s office was vandalised by the accused even after receiving Rs 5 lakh as ransom.

A case has been registered against 28 persons including Tanaji Bhoite, Nilesh Bhoite and Virendra Bhoite at Kothrud police station in Pune. Vijay Patil (52) has lodged a complaint in this regard.

According to the police, the complainant is from Jalgaon and is a lawyer. He is the Director of Jalgaon District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Sahakari Samaj Limited. The accused summoned him to Pune under the pretext of handing over the documents of the organization. When he came to Pune, the accused started abusing and harassing him. He was also forcibly put in a vehicle and taken to a flat in Sadashiv Peth. They tied his hands and feet and left him in a room.

The accused beat them and stabbed them in the neck and abdomen. They also beat up the person who was with the complainant. The accused asked to get the resignation of all directors and took a ransom of Rs 5 lakh. After that, they went to Jalgaon and vandalized the institute.

According to the complaint, money and gold jewellery were looted from the complainant’s pocket. This incident took place between January 2018 and January 2021. But, they have complained late.
