Pune: Father Kills Son Due To Frequent Illness, Arrested By Police
Hadapsar, 14th April 2023: A disturbing case has been reported in Hadapsar where a father allegedly strangled his 28-year-old son to death due to his repeated illnesses. The incident occurred at Tukai Darshan, Kalepadal, Hadapsar.
The accused, identified as Baburao Dinkar Jaibhai (50), was immediately arrested by the Hadapsar police after the complaint was filed by Sunita, the victim’s mother.
According to police, the deceased, Abhijit Baburao Jaibhai, was frequently sick and didn’t work. He and his parents were living on lease at Tukaidarshan. The accused allegedly killed him on Thursday (13th) around 12:30 pm while he was sleeping at home as he was unable to pay for his treatment.
The police immediately visited the spot after receiving the information about the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Vikrant Deshmukh, Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule, Crime Inspector Digambar Shinde and Vishwas Dagle, Crime Branch Unit 5 Inspector Ulhas Kadam, and Assistant Inspector Vijaykumar Shinde have visited the site.
The accused is currently in police custody, and the investigation is underway.
