Pune: Father And Daughter Drowned At Bhatghar Dam, Family Had Gone For Sightseeing
Bhor, 15th August 2023: Preliminary information has come to light concerning a distressing incident at the Bhatghar Dam, where two tourists lost their lives due to drowning. Swiftly responding to the report, personnel from the Bhor police station arrived at the scene to initiate necessary actions.
The unfortunate incident unfolded in the vicinity of Jayatpad village within the Bhatghar Dam valley. The area houses a border farmstead, where four families had gathered to enjoy a holiday together.
According to reports, these tourists ventured into the dam’s waters during the afternoon hours. The incident resulted in the tragic drowning of thirteen-year-old Aishwarya Shirish Dharmadhikari and her father, Shirish Manohar Dharmadhikari.
Currently, an intensive search operation is in progress, with the invaluable assistance of local villagers. While the body of thirteen-year-old Aishwarya has been recovered, efforts are underway by the villagers to locate Shirish Dharmadhikari. Police personnel are present at the scene, overseeing the ongoing operations.
