Pune: Fatal Dispute in Khalumbre Village Leads to Arrest of Seven Suspects by Pimpri Chinchwad Police

Mahalunge, 5th July 2024: A fatal incident resulting from a previous dispute occurred within the jurisdiction of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) on the evening of Monday, 1st July, in Khalumbre village, Khed taluka. The victim, identified as Ganesh Anil Tulwe (30), a resident of Khalumbre, Khed, was killed. Following the incident, police arrested seven individuals who had been hiding in Jambawade village, Maval Taluka.

The complaint was filed by Pranay Pradip Ovhal (21), a resident of Vadgaon Maval, at Mahalunge MIDC Police Station. Pranay is the nephew of the deceased. The arrested individuals are identified as Mayur Ashok Pawar (30, from Talegaon Dabhade), Vishal Pandurang Tulwe (37), Ranjit Balu Ovhal (22), Pratham Suresh Dive (21), Vikas Pandurang Tulwe (35), Sunny Ramdas Tulwe (26), and Chandrakant Bhimrao Tulwe (38), all residents of Khalumbre.

According to police reports, on Monday evening around 7 pm, Pranay and his uncle Ganesh were riding a bike on Talegaon Chakan Road in Khalumbre village. Two assailants approached on another two-wheeler and attacked Ganesh with a Koyta, severely injuring him.

When the complainant Pranay attempted to free his uncle from the grasp of the assailants, they also attacked him with a knife. Pranay sustained serious injuries as a result. Ganesh was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

After the murder, the Mahalunge MIDC Police swiftly tracked down the accused and arrested seven individuals within 48 hours. Following the incident, the accused had fled and were found hiding in Maval taluka. Their location was traced, leading to their arrest in Jambawade village near Talegaon Dabhade.

This operation was conducted under the guidance of Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Chaubey, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Dr. Shivaji Pawar, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Chakan Division) Rajendra Singh Gaur. The team included Senior Police Inspector Nitesh Geete, Assistant Police Inspector Kalyan Ghadge, and Police Constables Tanaji Gade, Vitthal Wadekar, Kishore Sangale, Santosh Kale, Ganesh Gaikwad, Shivaji Lokhande, Amol Borate, Santosh Waikar, and Rajendra Khedkar.
