Pune: Fatal Accident on Pune-Mumbai Expressway: Two Died in Lonavala as Tempo Loses Control

Lonavala, 3rd January 2024: An accident occurred on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway (Pune-Mumbai Expressway) as a tempo driver lost control, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. The impact claimed the lives of two individuals who were in the tempo at the time of the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Tempo driver Sunil Jalinder Kamble (aged 40, resident of Sangli Rural) and Vishnu Bhimrao Gade (aged 55, resident of Sangli Rural).

Tempo driver Kamble was transporting grapes from Sangli to Mumbai when the accident transpired. Near Aundhe Bridge, Lonavala, on Thursday morning, the tempo driver lost control, leading to a collision with a vehicle parked on the service road.

The collision caused extensive damage to the tempo, resulting in the immediate death of the tempo driver and a person seated beside him. Lonavala rural police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances leading to the accident.
