Pune: Fatal Accident on Alandi Road Claims Life of Young Man, Injures Another
Vishrantwadi, 29th June 2024: A young man died on the spot, and another was injured when a speeding Baleno car collided with their two-wheeler near Army Public School in Vishrantwadi on Dighi-Alandi Road.
Swapnil Pradeep Kharbade from Gajanan Maharaj Nagar, Dighi, was identified as the deceased, while Prateek Suresh Chandore from Gajanan Maharaj Mandir, Dighi, sustained injuries and complained to the Vishrantwadi Police Station, Pune city police.
According to the police, the complainant and his friend were travelling via Alandi Road when a blue Baleno car approached from the opposite direction and collided with them. As a result of the collision, Swapnil died on the spot. The driver of the Baleno car, Satish Valke, fled the scene after the accident.
A case has been registered at Vishrantwadi Police Station, and Assistant Police Inspector Ansar Shaikh and Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathore are leading the investigation.
