Pune: Fatal Accident in New Katraj Tunnel; One Dead in Collision with Speeding Truck
Katraj, April 18, 2023: A young motorcyclist was killed instantly in a collision with a speeding truck on April 17 at around 9:30 am in the new Katraj tunnel.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Mahadev Bapu Pingle, a resident of Ambegaon Pathar. The police officer, Prakash Shinde, has registered a complaint in this matter at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.
According to the police, Mahadev was riding his motorcycle through the new Katraj tunnel on April 17 at around 9 am when a speeding truck hit him. He suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. Police sub-inspector Deshmukh is investigating the case.
