Pune: Falling Tree Branch Claims Young Man’s Life in Bibvewadi
Bibvewadi, 9th June 2024: A young man lost his life after being struck by a falling tree branch in the Pokle Wasti area of Bibwewadi on Saturday night.
The victim, identified as Yogesh Gyandev Vanere, aged 29 and currently residing in Pokle Vasti, Bibvewadi, was chatting with his friend Sumeet Bagade near the Mahadev temple in Ota Colony around 11:30 PM. Suddenly, a large branch of the tree overhead snapped and crashed down onto Yogesh’s head, inflicting severe injuries.
Despite being rushed to Sassoon Hospital immediately, doctors pronounced Yogesh deceased upon arrival. His friend Sumeet, fortunately, escaped the incident unharmed.
The Bibvewadi police have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the tragic incident.
