Maval, 5th October 2024: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar indirectly criticized senior leader Sharad Pawar, remarking that elders should pass on responsibilities to younger generations after reaching the age of 70. He clarified that his statement was not intended as an insult.

“I gave similar advice to Former MP Nana Navale, saying that someone needs to take charge after him and be held accountable. Elders should entrust responsibilities to their children once they reach the age of 70. I mean no disrespect, but this is necessary for adapting to the times and giving the youth more responsibility,” Ajit Pawar said.

Pawar made these comments during the inauguration of the Kanhe Sub-District Hospital in Maval taluka, as well as the groundbreaking ceremonies for various development projects. Also present at the event were MLA Sunil Shelke, former MLA Ruplekha Dhore, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Maval Taluka President Ganesh Khandge, and Mauli Dabhade.

Additionally, Pawar announced the extension of the Ladki Bahin Yojana to women from all communities with an annual income of up to ₹2.5 lakhs in the state. He also mentioned that funds for the months of October and November would be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts by 10th October.
