Pune: Elderly Man Jumps To Death From Gallery As Caretaker Steps Away, Police Investigation On
Kothrud, 3rd December 2023: An elderly man allegedly took his own life by jumping from a gallery while his caretaker briefly stepped out to fetch a box. The incident took place around 1 pm today in Mayur Colony, Kothrud, Pune.
The elderly man, who resided alone in the house with his three sons settled in Mumbai and America, was attended to by a caretaker. Unfortunately, during the caretaker’s short absence, the senior citizen chose to end his life by leaping from the gallery.
Despite the efforts of onlookers who shouted in an attempt to prevent the tragedy, the elderly man had already taken the fateful step.
Police are further investigating the case.
