Pune: Eid-Milan Celebrated with Community Spirit and Felicitations at Hari Ganga Society in Phulenagar
Vishrantwadi, 18th April 2025: The spirit of unity and celebration was on full display at Hari Ganga Co-Operative Housing Society in Phulenagar as residents came together for a vibrant Eid-Milan programme. The event, held on April 18, was marked by heartfelt speeches, community bonding, and recognition of local heroes and senior citizens.
The celebration was presided over by Shekhar Bongir, Chairman of Hari Ganga Society, and was graced by several distinguished guests including former chairman Mangesh Dada Gole, Dr. Haji Zakir Shaikh (Director, Indo Global Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industries), and PMC Assistant Commissioner Sanjay Pol. Society members Rahul Kunjir, Vijay Falake, Chavan, and Darekar were also present to lend their support.
A highlight of the evening was the felicitation of senior citizens by the Chairman, acknowledging their valuable contributions and presence in the community. Adding to the pride of the occasion was the special recognition of Subedar Major Raphik G. Pathan (Retd), who was honoured for receiving the Veterans Achievers Award, conferred by the GOC-in-C, HQ Southern Command. The audience applauded his dedicated service and exemplary achievements.
The event was successfully organized by a dedicated team comprising Haroon Attara, Raphik Pathan, Saleem Shaikh, Afroz Chishti, and other active members of the society, who ensured that the festivities were both meaningful and memorable.
The Eid-Milan function served not only as a cultural celebration but also as a reflection of the strong community ties and mutual respect shared by the residents of Hari Ganga Society.
