Pune: ED To Interrogate Advocate Asim Sarode?

Pune, January 5, 2021: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has called up city-based advocate Asim Sarode regarding former minister and senior politician Eknath Khadse land dealing case.

According to the sources, the ED officials will reach the office of adv Sarode. Meanwhile, his wife advocate Rama Sarode cleared that ED officials have called up Asim regarding a case related to Khadse.

“It does not mean ED to interrogate Asim”, she said adding that the officials called up giving prior information regarding their visit.

Khadse has been accused regarding financial irregularities in a land dealing held at Bhosari MIDC. The dealings were done when Khadse was revenue minister in Devendra Fadnavis government. Khasde recently joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

He had mentioned that the land deal was looked after by his wife and the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has already given the case closure report. It was learnt that Khadse had asked for more time and recently he was detected with COVID-19. ED had given 14 days permission to him.

Sarode is fighting the case of Khadse. Thus, to take more information regarding the case, ED officials had made a phone call to Sarode. A case was filed in 2016 at Bhosari police station about the land deal.
