Pune: Drunken Vandalism Spree Strikes Chikhli; Two Accused Apprehended
Chikhli, 29th June 2023: Vehicle vandalism continues to plague Pimpri-Chinchwad. In the latest incident, a shocking act of vehicle vandalism unfolded yesterday afternoon (28th June 2023) when two individuals, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, went on a rampage in the Chikhli Gharkul area of the city. This destructive spree left a trail of damaged four-wheelers, instilling panic and fear among the residents. The Chikhli police promptly responded to the situation and successfully apprehended the culprits.
Authorities report that the destructive spree took place around 4:30 p.m. in broad daylight, targeting both the Chikhli Gharkul area and Sharad Nagar. The unidentified suspects, who were in an inebriated state, maliciously targeted seven to eight vehicles, resulting in significant damage. The shocking incidents were captured on CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
Chikhli police demonstrated swift and decisive action, leading to the arrest of the two individuals responsible for the vehicle vandalism. They have been handcuffed and taken into custody. Further investigations into this case are being conducted.
