Pune: Drug Dealer Arrested By Anti-Narcotics Cell In Undri

Undri, 17th August 2021: The anti-narcotics cell-2 of the Pune city police Crime Branch has arrested a smuggler who was preparing to sell drugs.

 

LSD drugs worth Rs 56,000, a two-wheeler and a mobile phone, totally worth Rs 1.26 lakh, has been seized from his possession. The arrested person has been identified as Abhijit Ravindra Kotwal (26), a resident of Wadgaon Sheri.

 

Acting on a tip-off received by policeman Bomdandi, a team led by Police Inspector Prakash Khandekar laid a trap and nabbed the accused near a housing society in Undri around 10.30 pm on Monday.

 

An FIR has been registered against the accused at Kondhwa police station for offences under the NDPS Act. “The accused said that he had received the drugs from a woman named Alina. She has also been booked in the case and further investigation is going on”, Inspector Khandekar said.
