Pune: DRDO Constable Harendra Singh Commits Suicide Using a Pistol at INS Shivaji near Lonavala
Lonavala, 12th July 2024: Tragedy struck at Indian Naval Ship (INS) Shivaji near Lonavala in Pune district as Constable Harendra Singh of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) took his own life by shooting himself this afternoon.
Harendra Singh, serving as a constable at DRDO, tragically used a pistol to end his life within the premises of the naval station.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Singh’s access to the pistol and the factors contributing to his decision. Initial reports suggest that personal issues within his family may have played a role in this tragic incident.
