Pune: Dr. Jagannath Dixit’s ‘World Free of Obesity and Diabetes’ Campaign Clinches Two World Records

Pune, 15 September 2023 : The ‘World free of Obesity and Diabetes’ campaign by Dr. Jagannath Dixit and his ADORE Trust has recently bagged two World Records, approved from the World Records Community of America.

The inspiration behind the campaign has been Late Dr. Shrikant Jichkar and his Birth Anniversary, 10th September was chosen to make the World Record of walkathon. In this event, people around the world, who have adopted the ‘Dixit Lifestyle’ were urged to walk for 5 km from 6 am to 9 am according to their time zones. This World Record has been accomplished as the ‘Walk Marathon at Most Number of Venues’ in which 11 countries including India were a part of this significant campaign. People walked at 228 different venues of the world, covering 199 different places in India and 29 places in other parts of the world.

Dr. Jagannath Dixit traveled to the States of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana from 16th August to 7th September to promote the campaign. During his visit to these States, he traveled 5,945 km by car. He delivered 40 lectures on ‘Dixit lifestyle for Obesity and Diabetes Reversal ‘ in 34 Medical Colleges of 25 cities and in different other institutes like Infosys, Aragen Life Sciences, Maharashtra Mandal, and Yashoda Hospital. With this, he achieved the World Record titled ‘Longest Diabetes Awareness Campaign by an Individual.’

“Both these initiatives will certainly make people aware of the fact that with effective Lifestyle modification, they can overcome Obesity and Diabetes without medication. People are appreciating these World Records by the ADORE Trust. I hope that next year, a maximum people from a city would walk for 5 km creating a new World Record ” expressed Dr. Jagannath Dixit.
