Pune: Divorce Without Alimony Due To Refusal Of Wife To Obey Court Order

Pune, 28th May 2022: Disobeying the court’s order has cost a woman dearly. A man had filed a divorce against his wife where the court gave the order to live together for a month but the woman did not follow the order.

According to the petition filed by the husband, the court has granted a divorce without alimony. This order has been issued by the Joint Civil Judge AP Girdkar.

The couple’s names are Madhav and Madhavi (names have been changed). He has a job, while she is a housewife. The couple married in 2009. After four months of marriage, she left. For a period of four years after that, she was coming and going. But she didn’t come back after 2013.

As she was not coming back, the man issued a notice to her in 2015. However, she did not come. Finally through Adv. Shivajirao Deshmukh, he filed a petition in the court.

The court asked her to come back and continue her married life with her husband. However, she did not appear in court. Therefore, in June 2018, the court ordered her to come and continue her married life within a month. However, she did not come. She did not comply with the order, so on January 18, 2020, her husband filed a divorce case. He filed a case with the help of Adv. Shivajirao Deshmukh and Adv. Sai Deshmukh.

Even then, she did not show up. Meanwhile, the corona pandemic affected the court work and restrictions were imposed. The court granted divorce to the couple as soon as the pandemic ended. According to the ruling, the husband will not have to pay alimony to his wife.
