Pune District Reports 1132 New COVID Cases Today, 1259 Discharged
Pune, 20th June 2021: A total of 1132 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1259 people were discharged from hospitals. 23 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9586 active patients in the district and 6217 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3369 are in home isolation. Out of 1132 new cases, 266 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 258 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 134 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 4 in cantonments and 470 in rural areas.
Among the 23 deaths, seven were in PMC, five in PCMC, two in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and nine in rural areas. Out of 1259 discharged patients, 255 were in PMC, 183 were in PCMC, 179 in municipal councils, 11 in cantonments, and 631 in rural areas.
