Pune District: Now Rs 1000 Fine If Caught Second Time Without Mask, Premises To Be Sealed For 15 Days For Violation COVID Prevention Rules

Pune, February 19, 2021: While the severity of corona infection is increasing in urban areas, now the spread of corona is also penetrating rural areas. Precautions are being taken from now on to prevent the further spread of coronavirus disease (COVID19) infection. For this, District Collector Deshmukh has issued an order for measures to be taken to prevent the spread of Corona

If a COVID19 positive patient is found in rural areas of the district, at least 20 people who are in contact with the patient will be traced and the locality (of residence) will be declared as a containment zone. There should be checking at marriage halls, lawns, coaching classes, schools and colleges, cinemas, shopping malls and if anybody is found without a mask a fine of Rs 500 should be imposed. For the second violation, Rs 1000 fine should be imposed. If these places do not comply with the guidelines and then they will be sealed for 15 days and an FIR should be registered, the order states.

District Collector Deshmukh has directed the Sub-Divisional Officers, Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, Police, Municipal Council Chiefs with the responsibility of strict implementation of the order.

The arrangements at Covid Care Center and Covid Hospital in the district should be inspected. District Collector Deshmukh has ordered to check the number of beds and ventilators in the area and provide adequate manpower.

Other instructions issued by the Collector:
– Meetings of doctors in private hospitals should be held. Patients should be tested for corona if primary symptoms of corona are found.

– Corona tests should be conducted at regular intervals of shopkeepers and vegetable vendors.

– Strict adherence to rules while conducting social, religious and political events.

– While giving passes to devotees coming to temples, senior citizens above 65 years and children below 10 years should not be given passes.
