Pune, 7th April 2023: The District Collector has issued a directive stating that all Aadhaar Seva Kendras should remain open on government holidays and weekdays.

Additionally, a special campaign called ‘Aadhaar Document Update’ has been implemented from 15th April to 30th April 2023. The campaign aims to update the Aadhaar details of citizens who have not updated their cards in the last 19 years, specifically those issued before 2012. As of now, the Aadhaar details of 33 lakh 26 thousand 823 citizens in Pune district need to be updated.

Citizens can update their Aadhaar details by downloading the My Aadhaar app or visiting the nearest Aadhaar center. They can also update their name, address, mobile number, date of birth, and language in the Aadhaar card using the app or Aadhaar website. A fee of Rs 50 is payable for updating Aadhaar details at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. However, if citizens update their Aadhaar cards using the app or website until 14th June 2023, no government fee will be charged.

This initiative aims to promote the use of digital platforms and reduce the need for citizens to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra physically. With the implementation of this campaign, citizens can quickly update their Aadhaar card details without any additional government fees.
