Pune, 11th March 2023: Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple organized a grape festival weighing two thousand kilos in celebration of Sankashti Ganesh Chaturthi. The temple is decorated with black and green grapes, and the grape fest was welcomed by devotees. The grapes used were provided by farmers from the Sahyadri Farmers Producer Company in Nashik, which is known for its high-quality products and chemical-free farming.

Sudhir Raste, a trustee of the temple, and Vilas Shinde, the company’s managerial director, attended the festival along with officials from the Sahyadri Farmers Producer Company. After the event, the grapes were distributed as prasad to various institutions, including orphanages, old age homes, and hospitals.

The trust’s chairman, Manik Chavan, said that the temple had hosted such grape festivals during previous years’ Ganesh festivals as well. The grape decoration was done in the temple’s main hall and the entire temple was open to the public. The attractive display of the grapes attracted many devotees who visited the temple early in the morning.

Due to changes in weather and market fluctuations, grape farming is currently facing a crisis. However, farmers are determined to overcome this and have been finding ways to come out of this situation. The grape festival is a great way to show support to the farmers in this difficult time.

The festival has been organized to seek blessings from Lord Ganesh to overcome the crisis and protect the farmers. The grapes used in the festival are chemical-free and of high quality. The organizers also stated that the festival aims to spread awareness about chemical-free farming and to promote the use of such products.
