Pune Cyber Police Seizes Ducati And Audi From CryptoBiz’s Rahul Rathod

Pune, 27th April 2023: The Pune Cyber Police has seized a Ducati bike and an Audi car bought by cyber scammer Rahul Rathod with stolen money from investors.

Rathod, the owner of CryptoBiz, allegedly promised good returns to investors if they invested in various staking programs of the company. The police have revealed a fraud of Rs 2 crore 94 lakh by the accused against 44 people across the country.

The police have seized 28 lakh rupees from Rathod’s bank account and three lakh points from his crypto wallet. The accused’s wife is a resident of Thailand, and the police are investigating whether Rathod made any investments in her foreign bank account or abroad. They are also probing whether he bought any properties abroad.

Rathod’s manager, Omkar Sonawane, has also been booked in the fraud conspiracy, and the police suspect that he may have been given commissions and gifts to facilitate Rathod’s activities. Investors from Telangana, Haryana, Delhi, and other states have filed complaints against the accused.

The police are continuing their investigation into Rathod’s activities and have urged the public to be vigilant against such scams. They have advised investors to thoroughly research investment opportunities before investing any money and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately.

The Pune Cyber Police previously seized a BMW luxury car purchased with stolen money from Ravindra Patil, a former IPS officer and executive of a well-known international company in a Bitcoin scam case.
