Pune: Crime Branch Unit 6 Cracks Down on Wagholi Jewel Thieves; Stolen Vehicles and Weapons Seized

Wagholi, 27th July 2024: In Wagholi, the Ganesh Jewellers shop was robbed by notorious history-sheeters. They were arrested by Crime Branch Unit 6, and the stolen vehicles they used for the robbery were also confiscated near Wagholi Bhavadi Road, close to Bhairavnath Temple. Items worth Rs 65,000 were seized. Their arrest has resulted in solving five cases registered at Yerawada and Dehu Road Police Stations.

The arrested individuals are Hansraj, aka Hansu Ranjit Singh Taak (age 20, resident of Hadapsar), and Sunny Singh Jitendra Singh Juni (age 22, resident of Ram Tekdi).

According to police in the the open area near Bhairavnath Temple. They were standing with the stolen vehicles when Crime Branch Unit 6 received this information. The unit promptly went there and arrested them. They confessed to breaking the shutters of Ganesh Jewellers and stealing jewellery. Hansraj has a criminal record with charges of dacoity, burglary, and over 25 other cases registered against him.

Two bikes, tools which are used to break ATMs, and weapons worth a total of Rs 65,000 were confiscated from them.
