Pune: Crane Accident Claims Cyclist’s Life On Karve Road
Pune, 1st June 2024: An accident occurred near Nal Stop on Karve Road resulting in the death of a cyclist. The cyclist was crushed by a crane around 9:30 AM and died on the spot. The incident took place in front of Sonal Hall on Karve Road, as the cyclist was heading towards Deccan.
Eyewitnesses reported that the ongoing footpath and cycle path construction on Karve Road has narrowed the road, making it difficult for cyclists to navigate, especially with fast-moving cars from the flyover.
The Deccan Gymkhana Police are conducting an investigation and have detained the crane operator. The identity of the deceased cyclist is yet to be ascertained.
