Shivajinagar, 30th July 2024: The Pune District and Sessions Court has granted bail to Rajendra Mishra, who was caught using drugs at the L3 bar on Ferguson College Road last month. During the proceedings, the defence lawyer cited the judgement from the Aryan Khan drug case to bolster their argument.

Nitin Thombre, 34, from Goregaon, Mumbai, and Karan Mishra, 34, from Mundhwa, were also detained for consuming Mephedrone at the party. Police investigations revealed that Abhishek Sonwane had supplied the Mephedrone to Thombre and Mishra.

In connection with this drug racket, police arrested ten individuals. The accused include Santosh Kamthe, Vitthal Kamthe, Yogendra Girase, Ravi Maheshwari, Akshay Kamthe, Dinesh Mankar, Rohan Gaikwad, and Manas Mallick, all associated with Liquid Leisure Lounge (L3), along with Nitin Thombre and Karan Mishra.

Advocate Ameya Balkawade, representing Rajendra Mishra, argued, “My client has no prior criminal record and works as a software engineer for a private company. His name was not mentioned in the FIR, and no drugs were found in his possession.”
