Pune : Construction Worker Dies After Falling From Third Floor Of Under-Construction Building, House Owner Booked
Pune 17th Sept 2023: In a tragic incident reported in the Malwadi area of the city, a construction labourer died after falling from the third floor of the building. The police have booked the house owner for not providing necessary safety gears to the workers while carrying out work.
According to the complaint registered with the police, the deceased identified as Balu Govind Mali (44), a resident of Warje Malwadi area was working on the third floor of the under construction building when he lost balance and fell on the ground. The incident took place at around 2 pm on September 14. Balu sustained serious injuries in the incident and was rushed to the hospital but doctors declared him dead.
A case has been registered against the house owner at Warje Malwadi police station under sections 304 (a) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation in the matter is underway.
