Pune Police Conducts ‘All Out Operation’ Ahead Of Republic Day; Second Combing Operation Within Week To Check Criminals

Pune, 12th January 2023: Another combing operation was conducted by the Pune Police during the week in the wake of Republic Day along with the G-20 Conference in the city. The said operation was carried out on Monday (9th January) night and then again on Wednesday (11th January), from 9 pm to 2 am. As many as 3,583 criminals were checked and 660 of them were found. 

The action was taken on the orders of Commissioner of Police Retesh Kumaarr and Joint CP Sandeep Karnik. 

A combing operation was conducted by Pune Police in the background of Republic Day to maintain law and order. Various teams of crime branches along with the local police stations conducted the ‘all out operation’. Also, 568 hotels and lodges were checked. 160 bus stands, railway stations, and isolated places were patrolled by the police.

The action was taken under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (West region) Rajendra Dahale, Additional Commissioner (East Region) Ranjan Sharma, Additional Commissioner (Crime) Ramnath Pokle, DCP (Crime) Amol Zende, DCP (Zone 1) Sandeep Singh Gill, DCP (Zone 2) Smartana Patil, DCP (Zone 3) Suhail Sharma, DCP (Zone 4) Shashikant Borate, DCP (Zone 5) Vikrant Deshmukh, DCP (Traffic) Vijay Magar, ACP Gajanan Tompe and ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar.
