Warje, 24th April 2022: A college girl died while her two friends sustained injuries when the two-wheeler they were riding skidded on the Mumbai-Bangalore bypass in the Warje area.
The deceased has been identified as Tejal Sanjay Chandak (23), a native of Pusad in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, who resided in Karvenagar. Anushka Basappa Ghadge and Jacqueline Maria Jacob were injured in the accident. They are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
According to police, Tejal, Anushka and Jacqueline are studying management courses. They were riding a two-wheeler on the bypass road around midnight. In the Dukkarkhind area of Warje area, Tejal lost control over the two-wheeler and it slipped. Tejal sustained serious head injuries in the accident and pillion riders Anushka and Jacqueline were also seriously injured.
Police rushed to the spot after getting information about the accident. The three were rushed to a hospital. Tejal died during the treatment. Police sub-inspector Padwale is further investigating the case.
