Pune, 20th August 2024: In a significant move to streamline the distribution of relief funds to farmers affected by natural calamities, the Pune District Administration has developed a computerized system through MahaIT for centralized direct benefit transfers. Pune Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase announced that the system is now operational, and funds are being directly transferred into the bank accounts of the affected farmers.

This system aims to ensure timely and efficient disbursement of relief to farmers who have suffered crop and land losses due to natural disasters. The distribution process covers various periods, including September and October 2022, March to May 2023, June 2023, September 2023, and November 2023. Additionally, drought relief funds have also been transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

The comprehensive list of farmers who have received aid has been made available on the Collector’s official website at (https://pune.gov.in). Farmers are encouraged to visit the site to verify the details of the relief distributed.

Dr. Diwase also urged all beneficiary farmers to check the status of their aid on the dedicated portal (https://mh.disastermanagement.mahait.org/PaymentStatus). This platform allows farmers to confirm the bank account in which the aid provided by the Relief and Rehabilitation Department has been deposited.

The implementation of this computerized system marks a significant step forward in providing transparent and effective support to the farming community in Pune district, ensuring that relief reaches those in need without delay.
