Pune: Coaching Class Teacher Beats 12-Year-Old Boy With Steel Rod, Booked
Pune 5th July 2023: The Pune City Police have booked a private coaching class teacher for allegedly beating a 12-year-old student with a steel rod. The incident took place on Sunday in Kothrud area of the city where the accused teaches runs coaching classes.
The minor boy’s family after hearing the story from their child have lodged a complaint against the accused teacher at Kothrud Police Station. According to reports, the teacher gives teaching for students preparing for army examination.
According to the complaint, the boy had gone to use washroom at the coaching classes center on Sunday when his friend locked the door from outside. The boy after being locked inside was banging the door continuously to seek help to come out which infuriated the teacher. The accused then hit the student on his hand with a steel rod and threatened to parade him naked.
The police have booked teacher under sections 324 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with relevant sections of Juvenile Justice Act.
