Pune City: 1617 New COVID Cases, 31 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 26, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1369 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1617 new patients were detected while 31 people died today. Today swab samples of 6164 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 87,317 out of which 70,269 have been cured while 2108 have died. There are still 14,940 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 812 critical patients out of which 492 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 7,637 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,888 new cases and 295 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,18,711 out of which 5,22,427 people have recovered and 23089 have died. There are 1,72,873 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,234,474 across the country. Out of this, 2,467,758 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 59,449 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 707,267 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
