Pune: Chikhli Housing Society Federation Stands Firm Against Playground Lease for Horse Riding
Pimpri Chinchwad, 9th December 2023: The controversial decision to lease the designated playground at River Residency Chowk in Chikhli for horse riding to a private organization faces robust resistance from the Chikhli-Moshi-Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation. Despite the federation’s clear opposition, some individuals are attempting to cast doubt on its role, urging flat owners to remain vigilant against such efforts.
Sanjivan Sangale, the federation’s president, emphasized that the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) consistently disapproved of leasing the reserved sports ground near River Residency in Chikhali for horse riding. The federation had communicated its concerns to the PCMC commissioner, maintaining its apolitical stance and refraining from endorsing or opposing any political party.
The federation assures society owners that its positions align with their interests and justice. While acknowledging the proactive steps taken by the civic administration to address various issues, the federation staunchly opposes the PCMC’s decision to allocate the reserved ground for sports in Chikhli to a private institution for horse riding.
Despite attempts by political parties to create confusion and spread false information, the federation stands firm in its opposition to the decision. It pledges to take all necessary democratic measures to address this issue and uphold the rights of society owners.
