Pune: Charholi’s Vibrant Yatra To Commemorate Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Charholi, 19th January 2024: In a bid to foster awareness about ‘God, Country, and Religion’ in society, a vibrant procession took place at Charholi Budruk on Sunday, captivating the community with its cultural and spiritual significance.

The upcoming inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on January 22nd by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has ignited a nationwide atmosphere of joy and anticipation. In the spirit of enhancing this jubilation, the Sakal Hindu Samaj initiated various religious, spiritual, and cultural programs at Shree Ram Mandir in Charholi Budruk. These events aim to engage citizens from Charholi Village, twelve Wadi’s, Basti, and all residential societies.

On Saturday, January 20th, a musical bhajan program by Shri Prasad Mate and Shishya Parivar is scheduled from 7 to 9 pm. The excitement builds on Sunday, January 21, with the grand Divya Shobha Yatra, taking place from 5 to 8 pm along the route from Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Shri Sambhaji Maharaj Chowk, Charholi Phata to Charholi Gavthan. The procession will feature Ramayana-themed costumes, designed to instill the values of Lord Sri Ram, Mother Sita, Brother Lakshman, and Lord Hanuman from the holy epic ‘Ramayana’ composed by Maharishi Valmiki. Following the Yatra, a recitation of Ram Raksha and Hanuman Chalisa will take place at Shri Ram Mandir.

The Hindu community earnestly invites women, sisters, youth, and seniors from the area to participate in this beautiful Yatra. The event commences with the worship of Hindu religion flags brought from Sri Kshetra Ayodhya at the Samadhi place of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj in Sri Kshetra Alandi at exactly 4 pm.

Moving forward to Monday, January 22, the Charholi Sri Ram Mandir will host a captivating Kirtan performance by the renowned Kirtankar, H. B. P. Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Karanjikar, from 10 am to 12 pm. The festivities continue with Maha aarti and prasad distribution from 12 noon to 1 pm, concluding with a grand Dipotsav at 6 pm. The entire community is encouraged to participate and partake in the celebration of this significant cultural and spiritual milestone.
