Pune: Chandan Nagar Police Arrests Burglar Duo, Recovers Stolen Items
Chandan Nagar, 7th December 2023: Chandan Nagar Police Station successfully apprehended two individuals involved in a burglary at C. G. Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Branch on October 22, 2023.
The accused, identified as Michael Navnath Kamble (28) and Shiva Govind Chavan (19), both residents of Katraj, Pune, were arrested for breaking into the establishment between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM. The police team, led by Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Landge, recovered stolen items worth Rs 14,000 from the possession of the accused.
On the night of the incident, the accused utilized a method to bend the iron gate of the C. G. Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Branch and gained unauthorized access. The stolen items included a Nokia mobile phone and four Samsung tablets. A case was registered under IPC sections 380 (theft), 454 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking to commit offence), and 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night).
Police Constable Vikas Kadam, Constable Suraj Jadhav, and Constable Srikant Kodre, part of the investigation team, conducted a thorough technical analysis and scrutinized around 250 CCTVs to identify the culprits. The investigation led to the arrest of Michael Navnath Kamble and Shiva Govind Chavan. Two stolen tablets and one mobile, with a total value of Rs.14,000, were recovered from their possession. Additionally, four other stolen mobiles were also seized.
