Pune, 13th May 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of Class 12 exams yesterday. The Pune region witnessed a 3% drop in the pass percentage of students compared to last year, with a total pass percentage of 87.28%. However, despite this setback, the students of Army Public School Pune and SNBP International School Rahatani performed exceptionally well.

School principals in Pune stated that the dip in pass percentage this year could be due to the lack of practice and adequate preparation in some subjects. They added that the pandemic had kept the students out of classrooms for a long time and pointed out that the board had declared the results based on a tabulation policy last year. Students were marked based on their performance in the previous classes apart from the internal exams and practical assignments.
