Pimpri Chinchwad, 25th February 2023: A case has been filed against three individuals in Pimpri after the flying squad found a voter slip, a list of names, and Rs 1.7 lakhs with a lotus symbol on Friday evening, following the conclusion of the Chinchwad Assembly by-election campaign.

Flying squad chief Vikas Varbhuvan has registered a complaint at Wakad police station, and the three accused are Madhav Mallikarjun Manore (51) from Rahatani, Swapnil Suresh Phuge (35) from Phugewadi, and Krishna Balaji Mane (24) from Phugewadi.

With the election campaign over, there has been an increase in secret propaganda, which may involve bribing voters for their support. As a result, the flying squad has set up checkpoints in 24 locations in the Chinchwad constituency and deployed teams to monitor the situation.

The team received information on Friday night that some individuals had been seen with large sums of money near Tambe School in Rahatani. When the team intervened, they discovered Rs 1.7 lakhs in cash, a voter slip with a lotus symbol, and a list of names. The team took action, and a case has been registered against the three accused individuals.
