Pimpri Chinchwad, 16th July 2024: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has started taking action against unauthorized schools in the city. A case has been registered against two schools: Orchids The International School and Little Stars English Medium School, both located in Chinchwad.

In both cases, Vilas Dayaram Patil lodged the complaints at Chinchwad Police Station. In the first case, a case has been registered against Shrey Kumar of Little Stars English Medium School, while in the second case, a complaint has been filed against J Decosta and Samir Gorde of Orchids The International School. Both cases have been registered under the BNS Sections 318 (cheating), 336 (forgery), and 3 (general explanations).

According to police reports, since April 2024, the accused continued to operate Little Stars English Medium School and Orchids The International School without fulfilling the rules and conditions laid down by the government. By pretending to parents that the schools were official, they admitted students illegally and collected fees. The prosecution alleges that they cheated the government, students, and parents by taking possession of students’ certificates and other educational documents. Police Sub-Inspectors Vharkate and Godase are investigating the matter further.
