Pune: Case Registered Against One Twitter User For Spreading Rumour About Bombs On 11 Flights Of Akasa Airlines Through Misleading Tweet

Pune, 25th October 2024: A case has been registered against a Twitter user at the Airport Police Station for threatening and spreading false rumours about planting bombs in eleven planes of Akasa Airline. A case has been registered against the Twitter handle ‘@Lucasantuli 2271’.

Sarathi Sarbananda Pandey (34), a resident of Datta Krupa Society, Lohgaon has filed a complaint at Airport Police Station. It is mentioned that the incident took place on 22nd October during Akasa Airlines flights from Goa to Pune, Delhi to Pune, and Pune to Kolkata.

According to the complaint filed, the tweet was posted from the Twitter handle to the official Twitter handle of Akasa Airlines. The tweet mentioned that “Terrorists Lucas and Tulip planted a bomb on the 11 flights”. After that, the Airport administration inspected it thoroughly.

Meanwhile, it came to light that this was done mischievously by someone to spread rumours. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the Twitter handle user who tweeted about it, for creating an atmosphere of fear by spreading rumors and endangering the lives of passengers and authorities along with workers at the airport.
