Vishrantwadi, 27th June 2024: Mangesh Shivaji Panchmukh, a 34-year-old farmer from Ranjangaon Ganpati, Taluka Shirur, District Pune, has filed a complaint against four individuals: Prabhakar Pandurang Bhosle, Deepak Rajkumar Panchmukh, Sachin Bhalchandra Panchmukh, and Kiran Ashok Panchmukh.

Mangesh had alleged that Bhosle had threatened him with a ‘revolver’ in his office but later it was concluded that the ‘revolver’ seen in a viral video was lighter. And Bhosle as well as Mangesh have financial relations, said DCP (Zone 4) Vijay Magar.

According to the Police Inspector of Ranjangaon Police Station (Pune Rural Police), the complaint was filed on April 3, 2023. In his statement, Mangesh alleged that the accused forcibly took him in a car from Ranjangaon to Bhosle’s office in Vishrantwadi. There, Bhosle allegedly threatened him with what appeared to be a revolver.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that Mangesh had sold his land in Ranjangaon Ganpati to Bhosle. All transactions related to this sale had been completed. Furthermore, Mangesh had assisted Bhosle in other land transactions, for which Bhosle had agreed to pay Mangesh six lakh rupees to build a house. However, Bhosle was reluctant to pay the remaining amount after initially providing two lakh rupees.

Mangesh began demolishing his existing house and commenced construction of a new one, resulting in difficulty in finding accommodation. Despite repeated attempts to contact Bhosle for the outstanding amount, Bhosle refused to pay. “Mangesh admitted that the supposed firearm shown in the video was, in fact, a lighter. He filed the complaint in an attempt to secure the money for his house construction.”

Mangesh provided a detailed statement to the police on April 26, 2023, clarifying the absence of any serious complaint against the accused. Following this, on April 27, 2023, the lighter, which Bhosle had surrendered at the police station, was identified by Mangesh as the same item shown in the video.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to review all aspects of the complaint and the subsequent developments.
