Pune: Broken Electricity Line Claims Young Man’s Life in Shirur Taluka
Shirur, 11th July 2023: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Shirur taluka of Pune district as a young man lost his life to electrocution after his two-wheeler became entangled in a broken power line on the road during the night. The unfortunate incident occurred at Shirasgaon Kata in Shirur taluka.
The victim has been identified as Vishwanath Chowrang Chavan, aged 28. As Vishwanath was the sole provider for his family, his untimely demise has left them devastated.
Local residents attribute this unfortunate incident to the alleged negligence on the part of MSEDCL in maintaining the power lines.
