Pune, 7th January 2024: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made a significant announcement in response to allegations of malpractice in the Talathi recruitment exam, following claims made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar.

Fadnavis addressed the media during his visit to the new BJP office in Pune on Sunday, asserting that if concrete evidence of malpractice is presented, the exam will be cancelled.

Wadettiwar raised concerns over the transparency of the Talathi recruitment exam, alleging substantial malpractices. He further called for the establishment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to thoroughly investigate the matter.

In response to these claims, Fadnavis emphasized that the Talathi recruitment exam was conducted transparently in the state. Fadnavis challenged Wadettiwar to provide concrete evidence of any malpractice. He stated that if evidence is presented and proven correct, the examination will be subject to cancellation after a thorough inquiry, with appropriate action taken against those found guilty.

On the subject of the Ram temple inauguration and its potential political implications, Fadnavis dismissed any concerns, stating that the ceremony is for Ram devotees, karsevaks, and everyone who holds faith in Ram. He clarified that the event is not being used by the BJP for political gains and that individuals of all faiths are welcome to participate.
