Pune : Biker Dead In Hit and Run Near Mahalunge, Unknown Driver Booked
Mahalunge, 16th October 2023 : A hit-and-run incident on the evening of Saturday, the 14th, has left a bullet rider dead due to an accident. The incident occurred between 7:30 PM and 7:45 PM on the road from Bhamboli Phata to HP Chowk, within the jurisdiction of Savardari village.
The victim, identified as Atul Dnyaneshwar Bailmare (33), a resident of Nanekarwadi in Khed, was the rider of the bullet involved in the collision. A complaint was filed by Nivrutti Mahadev Bailmare (38), a resident of Moshi at the Mahalunge MIDC police station in connection with the incident. Subsequently, a case has been registered against the unidentified vehicle driver responsible for the accident.
According to the police, the complainant’s cousin, was on his way home from Protadi Industries in Bhamboli, riding a Bullet with the registration number MH 27 CM 0130. Tragically, his journey took a devastating turn when an unknown vehicle struck his bullet in the vicinity of Savardari village. The impact of the collision resulted in serious injuries to Atul.
The unknown driver, instead of rendering assistance or informing the authorities, fled the scene, leaving Atul injured and in need of immediate medical attention. Due to a lack of timely treatment, Atul succumbed to his injuries. The Mahalunge MIDC police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
