The bee attack was sudden and so intense that all the family members fell unconscious. After receiving information from some villagers and other family members, the injured were located and taken to the hospital by private vehicles for emergency treatment. The injured persons are from Khamgaon in Maval Taluka of Pune district.

Pune Zilla Parishad’s Chief Executive Officer, Ayush Prasad, was immediately informed about the incident and he coordinated with the Health Department and Police Administration to ensure prompt assistance to the injured. He also assured that arrangements have been made to shift the patients to another hospital for treatment if necessary.

“We are in touch with the hospital authorities, and they have the necessary resources to provide treatment. We have deployed two ambulances in case any of them need to be shifted to other hospitals. The Taluka Health Officer has reached the spot and is monitoring the situation. We pray for their speedy recovery and request people to take necessary precautions from bees”, Prasad added.

Bee attacks are not uncommon in rural areas of India, especially during the summer months. In case of an attack, people should move to a safe place and seek medical attention immediately.
