Viman Nagar, 23rd April 2025: In the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam that left six tourists from Maharashtra dead and many others stranded, Pune-based defence-focused travel and services company udChalo has stepped in to assist those affected in Jammu and Kashmir.

The company, known for its commitment to India’s defence community, is actively helping stranded tourists, including a group from Mumbai, with emergency lodging, travel rebookings, and logistical coordination, according to company officials.

Ground Support from Ex-Servicemen Staff in J&K
Ravi Kumar, Founder of udChalo, confirmed that his team is in direct contact with several families from Pune and other parts of Maharashtra.
“We are in contact with families from Pune and some other tourists who are stranded after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam yesterday,” Kumar said.

Shivam Arren, CEO of udChalo, highlighted the company’s operational readiness and unique support network across Jammu & Kashmir, staffed entirely by retired Armed Forces personnel.

“udChalo has always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with India’s brave uniformed community—whether in the air, on the ground, or in moments of crisis,” Arren said.

“Our on-the-ground presence in Srinagar, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kargil, Leh and Udhampur—manned by ex-servicemen—allows us to respond swiftly. These are people who know the terrain, understand the needs of troops and travellers, and are committed to serving both military and civilian communities.”

Help Offered to All in Need
In response to the attack, udChalo’s retired military staff stationed across Kashmir have begun assisting not only defence personnel but all stranded individuals.

“We are currently supporting a group of tourists from Mumbai with rebooked travel, safe lodging and emergency coordination,” Arren added.
“To anyone still in need of urgent help, please contact your nearest udChalo office or call our 24×7 helpline. Our former soldiers are on hand to guide you, arrange your onward journey and ensure you reach safety without delay.”
