Pune Based Bajaj Auto Sells 3.55 Lakh Units in May, Prepares for World’s First CNG Bike Launch
Pune, 4th June 2024: Bajaj Auto’s sales figures for May 2024 remained consistent with the previous year, as per regulatory filings. The company sold 3.55 lakh units, mirroring last year’s sales. Domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, witnessed a 1% decline, with 225,087 units sold compared to 355,148 units in May 2023. However, there was a 3% increase in overall May sales. Meanwhile, exports saw a boost, with 130,236 units exported this year. Bajaj Auto is gearing up to unveil the world’s first CNG bike on June 18, catering to rural and semi-urban areas. Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj confirmed the launch, emphasizing its significance for these demographics.
The news of Bajaj’s trademarking of Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom hints at potential expansions in the company’s product portfolio.
