Pune: Azad Hind Express And Duronto Express Cancelled Due To Protest

Pune, 8th April 2023: Due to ongoing protests by the Kurmi community demanding tribal status, the Kharagpur-Tata section of the Kharagpur division and Adra-Chandil section of Adra division of South Eastern Railway are experiencing non-availability of rakes from April 8 to 10, leading to the cancellation of multiple train services.
Train number 12129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express, scheduled to depart from Howrah, will not run during this period, as will train number 12130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express on April 8 and 9.
Additionally, train number 12222 Howrah-Pune Duronto, scheduled to leave Howrah on April 8, and 12221 Pune-Howrah Duronto Express, scheduled to depart from Pune on April 10, will also be cancelled.
The Kurmi community is protesting to demand tribal status.
