Pune: Awareness and Capacity Building Programme, “Rise and Lead,” Held at Abeda Inamdar College in Azam Campus

Camp, 14th May 2024: Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Camp (autonomous), in collaboration with the National Commission for Women (NCW), organized an “Awareness and Capacity Building Programme” titled “Rise and Lead: Young Women Pioneering Technology, Business, and Public Life” at the assembly hall in Azam Campus. The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by NCW officials.

Dipali Gunjan Patil, Senior Project Manager at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Pune, served as the resource person for a session titled “Tech Horizons: Navigating Emerging Opportunities in AI and Drone Technology.” Additionally, Dr. Kuiljeit Uppaal, the world’s first Image Scientist and CEO of Krea, Pune, conducted a session on “Women in Decision Making: Women Leading in Public Life.” Dr. Uppaal motivated college students to hone their personalities through image building, personality development, interpersonal skills, and holistic personal development. Sharing her personal journey, she highlighted the challenges she faced due to polio and encouraged others to adopt a positive mindset, emphasizing seizing opportunities to achieve success.

Another significant session titled “Women in the Corporate Arena” was led by Sherrin (Sherine Poonawala) Mehata, Managing Director at Acetertainers and Founder of Angle Messenger, Pune. Mehata discussed the power of healing and harnessing natural energies for human development to unlock individual and collective potential. Saba Altaf Sayyed (Madhavi Hublikar), a Psychologist, Career Expert, and Life Coach, and Founder of Talentsphere, Pune, motivated students on the importance of acquiring life skills and personality development.

Dr. Shahla Bootwala, the College Principal, emphasized that the programme aimed to enhance students’ capacities through motivational sessions, life skills workshops, psychological insights, and personality development activities. “We have very talented students in our college, and our goal is to shape their personalities to enable them to become successful citizens in various fields of human endeavor in the future,” Dr. Bootwala affirmed.
