Aundh, 9th September 2024: The director of a world-renowned IT company has reportedly been socially outcasted by their housing society. This incident took place at Supriya Towers on Nagras Road in the Aundh area of Pune.

According to police, lamps installed in front of the complainant’s house were extinguished by pouring coconut water on them. Additionally, the complainant’s wife was prevented from reciting the Atharvashirsha in front of Ganapati during Ganeshotsav. It is also alleged that children in the society were forbidden from playing with the complainant’s minor daughters. The complainant claims that their social outcasting began after they demanded an account from society.

A case has been registered against 13 members of the society at Chatushringi Police Station for social outcasting. The individuals named include Rupesh Junawane, Dattatraya Salunkhe, Ashwini Pandit, Sunil Pawar, Jagannath Murli, Ashwin Lokre, Anirudha Kale, Samir Mehta, Sanjay Gore, Sonali Salunkhe, Shilpa Junawane, Ashok Kharat, and Vaijnath Sant.

The victim’s family alleged that the society members engaged in ‘inhumane’ acts, such as refusing to speak to them, making cruel jokes, cursing them in the lift, and even throwing coconuts at their house.
