Shivajinagar, 20th January 2024: Siddharth Shirole, MLA of Shivajinagar constituency, has announced a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address traffic congestion on Pune University Road.

In a meeting with Pune Guardian Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with senior officials and administrators, a principle approval was granted to open the internal road of the Agricultural College from Mhasoba gate to Sinchan Nagar (Bhosalenagar) from 7 am to 10.30 pm.

The decision, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion, comes after careful consideration and discussions among key stakeholders. The proposed route, set to open within a few days after coordination with Pune City Traffic Police, will provide a new commuting option for 2 and 4-wheeler travelers moving from Deccan/FC Road towards Bhosalenagar, Khadki, Bopodi, and Aundh.

Shirole expressed confidence that this alternative road will significantly reduce travel time and ease congestion around Pune University Circle and adjacent areas. He stated, “The decision to open up the Agricultural College for thoroughfare is one of several changes we’re implementing in the coming weeks. Our aim is to alleviate congestion on Pune University Road and adjacent areas, significantly reducing inconvenience for citizens.”
